Resurrection

Jacklynn MacInnis

I'm the woman on the other side,
lacing back the broken fence.
You can see me through tomorrow
behind the dying,
if you looked.

I'm the woman at the seashore
knitting mounting waves.
You can see me through the fog
beneath the seaweed,
if you looked.

I'm the woman at the horizon
tying off the withered cord.
You can see me through a memory
beneath the present tense,
if you looked.

I'm the woman in the window
weaving foolish poems.
You can see me through the screen
behind the orange tree,
if you looked.
